ANXIETY & DEPRESSION COUNSELLING
IN NEWMARKET & ACROSS ONTARIO
Feeling done? Like you can’t keep going like this?
Let’s find a new way together.
Evidence-based, compassionate therapy for women
experiencing anxiety & depression.
More often than not, you’re running on empty.
You feel stuck—trapped in a cycle and you’re not sure how to break free.
You spend so much of your time trying to keep it all together—your work, your relationships, even how others feel. Deep down, you know you can’t make everything go away or change the outcome, but you don’t know how to let go. No matter what you do, your harsh inner critic tells you you’ll never be “good enough.” You may feel unable to escape the racing thoughts, health concerns, or always fearing the worst is going to happen.
Family and social situations may be especially draining, with constant worry about judgment, comparisons, and whether you’re doing the “right” things. On the outside, everything looks “fine,” but inside, it’s a completely different story.
DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE THIS?
Dealing with body pain, headaches, and tightness that just won’t go away
Being so caught up in your head that you can’t focus on anything else
Constantly questioning why you can’t deal with things or feeling helpless
Pushing yourself too hard, trying to do it all, and feeling like it's never enough
Feeling misunderstood, like no one truly gets what you’re going through
Lying in bed for hours, overthinking or dreading the next day
Fearing that things will go wrong again
Constant waves of anxiety, stress, and guilt that make each day feel like an uphill battle
THE PROCESS
Let’s tackle this together from a place of curiosity rather than judgment.
One of the first things we’ll do together is seek to understand how anxiety and depression are showing up in your life, the patterns they’ve created, and how long they’ve been with you. By exploring what’s helped in the past and what hasn’t, we can begin to learn new ways of responding.
It’s important to make sure you feel safe and supported throughout this process. That can look like creating a sense of safety in your body, learning how to calm your nervous system, and understanding what invites anxiety. Once we understand how your body reacts, we can start to build more stability from the inside out.
As we explore your symptoms, we'll also look at what anxiety and depression might be trying to communicate. Part of this work may also include exploring parts of your past. By learning how to embrace and understand your younger self—hearing your needs and unmet needs—you can create a pathway for healing. Through gentle communication with your inner child, we’ll work on building trust with your older, wiser self who can guide you with insight and self-compassion.
I aim to empower you with everyday tools to manage anxiety and depression while also helping you feel more connected to yourself—grounded, supported, and ready to move forward.
Release fear & self-doubt. Embrace confidence & hope.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I know if my anxiety or depression is “bad enough” for therapy?
Therapy is for anyone feeling overwhelmed by persistent worries, low energy, or self-criticism—regardless of how severe those feelings seem. Whatever you’re experiencing is real and very unique to you—you don’t have to have a certain requirement of pain or emotion to come to this place. When your mental health is affecting your daily life, relationships, or self-worth, therapy can help you find relief and tools to not only manage them but learn how to move forward.
What if I’m too much for others? I don’t feel like I fit in.
It can be discouraging and lonely to feel like you don’t belong, especially if you’re already struggling with anxiety or depression. I’m here to help you build confidence in who you are and explore healthier ways to connect with others without the fear of being “too much.”
I’ve been feeling anxious and down for a long time. Will therapy really help?
Yes, therapy can be a powerful tool for understanding and managing anxiety and depression. This experience is not always a quick fix, but I believe that with consistent work we can help you uncover what’s fueling those feelings and equip you with ways to cope, feel more authentically you, and embrace meaningful relationships.
